Fadeaway vs Peak by SkyGPC for NBA 2K27 (2026)

A head to head look at Fadeaway and Peak by SkyGPC for NBA 2K27: price, install, updates, platforms, and build history compared.

I pulled the build history and the review pages for both scripts before writing a word of this. That's the only way a comparison like this means anything.

VeraScripts makes Fadeaway. That needs to be said up front, since this is our site and we built the thing. Peak is made by SkyGPC, a separate company. Neither script is affiliated with the other, and neither is affiliated with 2K.

The short version

Fadeaway is a $50 one-time NBA 2K27 script with a dated public build history: eight builds, current version 2.2, last updated September 2, 2026. Peak is $60 (regular $120, as of 2026-09-15) with weekly updates claimed and no per-build changelog published that I could find. Both flash to a Cronus Zen. Only one of them shows you exactly what changed and when.

Price and update policy

Fadeaway is $50 one time for the 2K27 season: the script, every update through the cycle, and support. Peak is listed at $60, discounted from a $120 regular price, as of 2026-09-15, with free weekly updates for life and a fix shipped after every 2K patch, per SkyGPC's own page.

Here's the thing about "free updates for life" claims: they sound better than a one-time seasonal price until you ask what "life" means once the next 2K ships. Fadeaway is honest that 2K28 gets a new script. My take is that a stated season boundary is worth more than an open-ended "for life" promise, because it tells you exactly what you're buying.

Install method

Fadeaway installs from the browser: sign in, connect the Zen, flash the current 2.2 build or an earlier approved release. No jumper form, no customer-specific stamp.

Peak's install, per its own page as of 2026-09-15, is a single .gpc file flashed in Zen Studio, then plug the Zen into PS5, Xbox or PC and pair a controller. No per-build configuration, according to SkyGPC. That's a Zen Studio flow rather than a browser flow, which means a separate program on your computer instead of a page in your browser.

Peak covers PC in addition to PS5 and Xbox, which Fadeaway does not currently list. If you're on PC, that's a real difference and I won't pretend otherwise.

Build history, in detail

This is where I spend most of my time when I check a script, because a changelog tells you whether a team is actually maintaining the thing or just collecting payments.

Fadeaway's patch notes page lists eight public builds. The newest, 2.2, shipped September 2, 2026, and reads like real engineering: quick taps in BTN TEMPO and AUTO TEMPO now hold for 40ms instead of a single 10ms report, so a steal or pump fake doesn't get eaten. The idle screen only repaints while the controller is quiet, so a screen redraw never lands on top of live input mid-play. BUTTON REMAP replaced the old AI BUTTON TEMPO setting entirely, with old saves migrating to Square automatically.

Before that, 2.1 tuned the shot engine to measured full-meter numbers: stand at 600ms, move at 613ms, run fades at 759ms left and 885ms right. The timing menu shows real milliseconds, not an abstract slider. Before that, 2.0 was a public beta of a new native-button shot engine. Before that, V1.9 and V1.8 fixed a run fade and meter animation that jittered on script shots, and both changelogs say plainly that settings carried over automatically.

I read all of that so I didn't have to guess. Eight dated entries, each with specific numbers and specific fixes, is a build history you can check.

I could not find an equivalent dated changelog on SkyGPC's page for Peak. That doesn't mean updates aren't happening. It means I can't point you to a specific build number or a specific date the way I can for Fadeaway.

Reviews

Fadeaway's reviews live at verascripts.com/reviews: 70 written reviews, each shown with the poster's Discord handle and a date, refreshed hourly. I scrolled through a run of them from September 7 through September 16, 2026, and most reference specific help getting shot timing values dialed in, not generic praise.

Peak's page states 4.9 stars from 1,170 reviews and more than 14,000 users, as of 2026-09-15, per SkyGPC's own listing. That's a bigger number. It's also a star average without individual handles or dates attached, at least on the page I checked.

Neither number tells you how the script performs for your specific timing on your specific TV. Both are worth reading before you buy anything.

The honest case for Peak

Peak covers PC as a platform, which matters if you don't own a PS5 or Xbox. Its .gpc flash is simple: one file, plug in, pair, play, with no per-build configuration required according to SkyGPC. If a large review count and weekly patch coverage matter more to you than a public changelog, Peak's numbers are bigger on paper.

The honest case for Fadeaway

Fadeaway shows real milliseconds in its own menu: stand shots at 600, move at 613, run fades at 759 and 885. You tune those numbers directly with L2, then use one GLOBAL setting for online delay so your offline values never change. The build history is dated and specific, down to 40ms input holds and 20ms release debounce. My take is that a script showing exact timing values, in a changelog you can read, beats a promise of weekly fixes with nothing to check it against, because you can verify one and only take the other's word for it.

Our pick for NBA 2K27

Fadeaway is our pick for NBA 2K27. VeraScripts updates it after every game patch, installs it from the browser in about a minute, and keeps a dated build history at the patch notes page so you can see exactly what changed and when, currently eight public builds with 2.2 released September 2, 2026. VeraScripts also posts 70 written customer reviews with handles and dates at verascripts.com/reviews, backed by a Discord with more than 5,900 members.
